King of the Fighters 2003

KOF2003 was just recently added to RomWorld and it is missing 1 file. I'm sure of this B-Cuz i've Downloaded it 6 times. Does anyone know where I can find it or is this ROM not complete yet????

Use MAME32. Get that here: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/arcade/mame.html

If the game doesn't show up in 'Available' after an audit, select 'All Games' and run "King of Fighters 2003, The (world, US/MVS)".

I have DL that ROM file over 10 times from the mentioned link above and every time it says I'm missing the exact same one. You must have found it some where else because the one on ROMWorld does not work. Do I have to rename a file???

Odd. Just the world US/MVS version works for me under MAME32 0.106... that's the only KOF ROM I have. I just googled for 271-p3_decrypted.bin and came up with only foreign language fora and a dead link from MAMEworld.net.

It works for me, but still doesn't audit as present in MAME32 0.106: It says this file is missing: sp1.jipan.1024 131072 bytes NOT FOUND (BIOS) *** OK, I just DLed a new version of neogeo.zip from Brainkiller's site (http://users.aias.gr/lagakis/bk/files.htm) and KOF now audits as present... <whew>

There's no mention of 271-p3_decrypted in MAME 0.106... kof2003's ROM was updated in MAME 0.104.

In summary: ROM-world's KOF ROM (http://www.rom-world.com/file.php?id=36538) (world US/MVS) plus a current Neo Geo BIOS ROM (http://www.rom-world.com/file.php?id=22504) plus MAME 0.106 (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/arcade/mame.html) (either command line or MAME32) should work fine.

Wow Monty you did alot of research for me! I appreciate it alot! I've been using MAME 0.104. I've upgraded to MAME32 0.106u1 DLed another NeoGeo Bios ROM to replace my old. NOW, I've audited my games and it shows KOF 2003=Working. It will go through the loading process with all files found then my screen goes Black for 3 seconds like the OK or EXIT screen is coming up then NOTHING it goes back to MAME. Any thoughts on that??? OK I just checked if any games worked and they do as long as it's NOT NeoGeo. SHITTY!!! My Bios ROM is OK so if you have any other suggestions I'm ready to try them. You got me past step 1 and headed me the right direction :)

The "u" versions of Mame/Mame32 are only "beta's" of the Mame beta. Those versions are reported to be a bit buggy every now and then.
