I got to the end of the practice session at the start and just gave up, wasn't my cup of tea.

Runescape sucks so bad, its a huge waste of time. the quessts are all boring as hell and if you even want to get anywhere you have to hack someone elses account.


I hereby change the name of this thread to Tom Clancys Splinter Cell. Am I the only fan of this game?

Splinter cell is a really good game, its HARD AS HELL though, but incredible graphics, i love it, id give it a 9.5 out of 10, that -.5 was the difficulty, if you hoope to bewat you will have to play for about 24 hrs. straight.

The reason i dont like runescape is that everyone i have met on their is incredibly stuck up, and the missions suck, i would much rather play a worthwhile online game like halo, giants, or quake III.

Uhh, newbs: I'd seriously consider ducking right about now.

I fail to see how playing an RPG could require more skills than a FPS. By the two different game types' very nature, one is all skill and the other is all decisions like 'Hmmm... should I equip the shadow bow of carnage even though my current bow has a +45% lightning damage modifier?'

thank you monty, dont worry though, anyone who types poop for their personal tag doesn't really threaten me surprisingly. and i played runescape for about 1 week and got to level 37, my screenname was yoogan but i gave it away and my password to my friend and they have leveled him up most likely.

Read my last post again: I wasn't dissing Runescape or RPGs at all.

I'm honestly curious as to what the game play is like. I haven't played many RPGs: Excepting Diablo II, Dungeon Siege and Baldur's gate. Of the three I enjoyed Diablo II the most although Dungeon Siege was a very close second. I can see how a slightly indirect control method would better lend itself to interpretation of AD&D turn-based rules, and would largely mitigate the effects of latency (lag) in online play. I'm notoriously intolerant of lag: I almost never play anything online except the occasional game of Chess.

So, how does Runescape play then?

i play runescape, im quite high (lvl 104) and have completed all but 10 of the quests on the whole quest list, including members.

i maxed my mage to 96 to see what it would be like to have the top spells to only realise it takes days of work just to pay for a few casts of the spells. it gets to boring when your high, too much clicking involved in the whole game.

but its a hobby i suppose.:tounge:

please dont be an ass about my runescape account noob. And it is pretty boring, i'd prefer maple story, even though that also sucks. If you want a good online game, play halo, quake 3, doom 3, or giants.
