I personally don't find any GTA to be very good. They're a good catharsis for a few minutes if you're alone, but beyond that the game is really only good for laughs when you're hopped up on Red Bull with friends in the middle of the night.

no, vice city was alright, but with this one you have much more free will and you can customize your guy, their are more cars, you can start gang wars, ten times better than vice city.

dude i bet u play it for about a week as soon as you beat the first city (the only good part of the game) the game sucks and the story line goes nowhere whereas vice city kept you playing because of the storyline was so awesome this game keeps you playing for no reason whatsoever also i would much rather be able to buy property like in vice city rather than customise my character really it does get old after first time u customise him

you retard, you can buy property on san andreas and add on to it, you can also break into houses and steal stuff, its just better, vice city would be my second choice though.

yeah you can buy like 40 safe houses but none of which add to the storyline also the casino property is so damn lame come on wheres the malibu and the porno studio also theres no atmosphere at all in this game wheres the 90s vibe there is none vice city made it feel like you where in the late 70s early 80s but as long as you can change the guys clothes i guess your happy

I liked Vice City better too, it was a straight forward storyline, an easy to follow cast, and most of all easy to co-ordinate were you are and whats happening.....too much waste land in san andreas.....also vice city was a major improvement from GTA3, with the voice overs from real actors and the tropicol climate better graphics, better radio, more weapons and the minor improvements like tire punctures and buying real estate.. but weres the improvemet from vice city to san andreas....it just has more land and a few minor additions like that stupid rpg style stats system that is just annoying, not to mention the glitches in aswell.....but it was still a good game, I think they need to keep the story going a bit more though, they all kinda end suddenly......

i agree dude what i hated most about that game where those missions where you had to go to accept mission than drive for 5 mins before u actually did anything then if you crashed you would have to go all the way back and start again

I liked both of them and have been playing the GTA series since the original was first released. SA has some deffinate gameplay improvements over VC (not to mention a huge map), just as VC did over 3, but I was still somewhat dissapointed. (I remember reading somewhere before SA was released that "AI has been increased significantly in SA, charachters on the street will actually "think" and have their own "brain."" Is it just me or is that comlete and total b.s.? Also they made it out like the whole eating/working out thing was alot more complex than it really is.) I found the storyline in VC alot more engaging, but maybe that has to do with the fact I'm not black.

Thats Right, I read all that B.S too....it said the missions were going to be far more complex in how you chose to do them,,,,and the cops have bikes and will dive off and grab onto your car, that only seems to happen in one mission.......the skydiving RUBBISH....car modding RUBBISH......the appearance altering RUBBISH...radio RUBBISH......cop AI RUBBISH AS ALWAYS.....

If you could evade the cops properly instead of having to collect stars.....as in get away from them and hide from choppers under trees etc. to make your wanted level drop would be more realistic....and being able to see the cops coming instead of them just being programmed to appear 20yards from were you are when being chased would be a big step...

yeah i remember reading that you could drive cars in the game and that there where guns but ive played the game through and didnt get to drive cars or shot ppl did anyone else have this problem

I thought san andreas was pretty good but some of the missions were boring and unbelievable. The ones where you have to fly the remote controlled plane were just stupid.

Manhunt and Driver 2 piss all over GTA and steal its wallet, IMHO

The swimming was badly done IMO, its the blandest part of the game cos theres so much land its rarely you see or are forced near water....like I said before their trying to hard to add elements to make it more realistic thus taking away the game part in the process...I mean I dont wanna have to worry about starving and losing energy or weight or FITNESS, if you dont do anything or about an hour them stats drop like shit and its just annoying.....

I still liked it but just didnt look foward to it as much as vice city......even with the fake built up lies...

Yeah the whole thing with the cars appearing is a good idea. Smarter AI is always good. I think they should have police dogs too.

i think it was an ok game still i have to say vice city's story was a helluva lot more interesting than san andreas. I think if they remade Vice city with San andreas improvments it would blow san andreas out of its swimmable water

Well, I have played VC, but I haven't played SA, so I unfairly choose VC.... And I think that Rockstar should make a game that's more focused on running from the police, I love running from the police in GTA.

Fighting isn't as fun for me, I prefer to outwit the cops with my 180 degree turns, fast turns, and then I'd wait for him to catch up to me, hit the brakes, they'd try to turn around, and I'd be gone down the street... although one thing I forgot about was something in GTA3, I used to put in the Better Handling cheat so that I could jump over the police... that was fun, although in GTA:VC, I would put in the Flying Cars cheat code and watch the cops flip over in the air because they couldn't control the cars.... those were the good days.

yeah i spose that would be fun if you are a girl but what i hated in gta3 was that you would get away from the cops and more would just appear at the edge of the screen i found that really annoying in some parts of the game and also i didnt like the fact that sometimes on the viglante missions when the cop car you are in catches fire all cop cars more or less dissapear from the game stopping you from finding another police vehicle

i am pretty pissed off at what hilary clinton is doing, just because san andreas has a downloadable sex scene it automatically becomes the biggest fucking deal ever. our president is the biggest shithead ever, and has driven america face first into the ground, and everyone is too god damn stupid to care, as long as he's "protecting" us from the terrorists everyone acts like life is normal and everythings fine. and then one sex scene on an already M rated game, and everyone thinks it is the end of life itself. it puzzles me a great deal.
