Looking for arcade ROM

I am trying to find a racing game-shooter that was set in the future and you would have a "pod" fly down and give you blaster and shield upgrades.

I seem to remember it had a stand up cabnet.

Road Blasters? Except there's no shield upgrades. Anyway, that game rules. If any of you haven't played it, I strongly suggest that you do.

Nope, no arcade Knight Rider game has ever been released as far as I know. However, there was a Knight Rider game out on the old Nintendo console.
