I have mame 32 v0.90u1, That seems to be the best one I've found. I know Cruisin' USA works on it. I don't think Die Hard runs well on anything.
Here's a tip, download all the versions of a particular game. Some emulators won't be able to run the master file, but sometimes one the clones will work. (Which you must have the master file to make work.)

For final fight there are 4 versions: Japan1, Japan2, World, and US. Download all of them then audit your games. Odds are atleast one should work.

Well, your version of Mame ( if typed right...) is SEVERELY outdated. I imagine that damn near every Mame rom on Rom-world has been updated to support newer versions of Mame.
My advice: Download the newest version of Mame32 at (you have to get a fileplanet ID):
http://www.classicgaming.com/mame32qa/
Download v .97 binary.

You don't need the file planet ID. You can get Mame emulators almost anywhere.

Search google for an Emulator-Zone for a good site for emulators.

If you download it from the link I gave you, it's Mame32.
Mame = DOS
Mame32 = GUI

There are frontends you can find at that Emulator-Zone I mentioned above. A MAME frontend will give you a GUI for the command line (dos) version of MAME, I haven't tried to use one of them though so you'll have to try them out for yourself.

Everyone uses Mame 32. Unless you're a hard-core computer geek.

In other words, I'm pretty much the only one here who uses command-line MAME.
