Looking for the name of a early 90's arcade shooter

I used to play this game all the time at the local arcade, but can't remember the name.

The perspective wasn't quite top down, but pretty close. The game was up to 4 players. You could pick up different weapons and drive different vehicles. The thing I remember most though was when one of the other players was running low on health you could move your character up to the other one and help support the wounded player.

If anyone can think of the name, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Man, you're lucky. I had the same question a while back and nobody knew. I eventually found it though... Thunder Zone. This has to be it.
