Ajakutty
- The Crownless king
Ajakutty is one of the top racers in the second league, He used to race with number 99 on his back. But when challenged by Alita who also had the same number he gets utterly defeated he decides to let Alita take his number. Ajy is a pure fighter and known to taking out more opponents than anybody else in the league. He masters the "Asian arts" which mostley consists of kicks and low throws. Ajy sees the potentials of Alitas Fighting capabilities and help her and introduces her to all other racers.
Alita
- The Angel
This will be hard since I think that its up to the person reading to make up an own story. But I will do my best.
Alita is the girl that Ido finds in the scrapyard and brings home without knowing what he has really found. That it is the most beautiful girl ever and that she will grow up to be the best you can be. Alita is a dreamer and is always struggling to find out who she really is. As most of us know Alita has no memory from her past and don't really know how she has the gift of knowing the martialart Panzer kunst or the "Armored Arts", It is said to be the most powerful of the various fighting techniques developed for humanoid cyborgs.
Since she discovers her knowledge of the Panzer Kunst she decides to be a "Hunter Warrior" just as Ido is. It is this decision that will trigger the whole new life for Alita. Alita is very kind and fair to all the people she meets not judging from colour of the skin or if the person is rich or poor. Alitas struggling for knowing about Tiphares "The cloud city" and the Scrapyard will soon prove not to be an easy task but along the way she will kind of finding herself and will meet many people good and evil but they will all be a part of something bigger and they all have some part in Alitas destiny.
Barzarld
- The Bouncer
This guy is BIG and dumb like the average bouncer :). He protects Desty from uninvited guests. He also provides Desty with his usual Flan and because his massive body he can lift and carry large objects. Desty nova has also injected his body and Eelai’s with nano restorers to make them sturdier.
Bigott
- The Chief
Biggot is the Chief at M.I.B that is some kind of protection bureau for Tiphares. Their job is to see to that the people of the scrapyard does not riot and attack the cloud city of Tiphares.
Biggot is a secret person and does not talk to much. He is keeping it all to himself but still he is a nice person for being an Tipharian hehe. Together with Lou Collins the M.I.B will have great importance for Alita and the secret of Tiphares.
When he discovers the secret he panics an cuts off half his head.
Deckmen
- We are the robots
These guys are the tube guys that hang around all factories. They looks like tubes and you may think that they are all robots but that's wrong they are really cyborgs which works for the bureau. They report all events going on the surface to Melchizedek. The deckmans also serve as Tiphares police and military force on the surface.
They supervise all from hunter warrior registration to the statistics in the in motorball.
Den
- of barjack
The revolutionist that want to see Tiphares fall and try to bring peace and order in the Scrap yard. He is building up forces all around the Scrap yard getting money and supplies from robbing trains from the Factory.
His army is strong and fearless. He is a good leader but is his goal really a good solution to the difference between Tiphares and the Scrap yard? Making Tiphares fall down will mean that it will land on the Scrap yard and killing most of the life there.
Den has a body of a horse and he must be one of the biggest and strongest cyborgs ever made. As with most of the characters that meets Alita he becomes very unsure of his own decisions about the fall of Tiphares. He and Kaos share a big secret by the way…..
Destynova
- The nutty professor
Desty Novas is Kaos father and a former tipharean ctizen who has been deported from Tiphares because his inhibitor malfunctioned much like Ido’s. Desty driven by his constant search he “conquest of Karma” wich is hard to explain but it’s like if you can extend your abiltue to ones outmost to overcome one’s destiny. Therefore he does cruel and sick experiments with people like His son Kaos (splitting his personality), Makaku (Giving his a body in wich he could take over others) , Zapan (giving him the berserker body), Resurrecting Ido and enhancing Jashugans brain all this to see if they could control their on life’s. Because his fragile body he has two body gaurds employed Barzarld and Eelai.
Eddy
- Second place is the first looser
Eddy once a top league race with his famous Blade technique. He was the only who could challenge Jashugan but after a big accident jashugan suffered major brain damage.
Jashugan got his brain reconstructed by Desty Nova and returned he was incredible and Eddy tried to take lots of nerve enhancing drug to improve his reactions. But he could never reach the same level as Jashugan. Due to heavy drug abuse he's nervous system was damaged and he go the "Terminal Frost" It's like Parkinsons but with major shakes.
He believes he can win over jashugan through Alita and tries every thing to make her win.
Eelai
- Desty Novas assistant
Eelai makes her fisrt apperence in the angel of redemption episode as Desty novas sexy lover and assitant. She is apart from the many characters all flesh as she self would have put it with no cybernethics implants. Althouh Desty has injected her body with nano restorers .
Her sadistic nature makes her perfect as bodyguard. It seems that Eelai does not know any martial art apart from some throw and break technuics. Therefore she uses a "High pressure water converter" wich she utilize with deadly accuracy and technique.
Fang
- Protector
Duke is Pop's dog. He uses to hang around Kansas bar. He brings Koyomi to safety he also rips out Altia old cyborg arm out of Makaku's right eye.
Figure 4
- The Boyfriend
Figure is a rather uncomplicated person. He is grown up in a flooded ruin city called Alhambra where most people lives as fishers. Figure has moved to the Scrapyard to seek fame and fortune, the first job he takes is the job as a merc guarding the supply train running from the farm around the city providing crop and meat (although most is sent to Tiphares).
This is where he meets Alita when she is on her way to the outer reaches to eliminate Den. Alita rescues Figure and Yolg. They team up and begin to hunt for Den. Figure is a pretty sturdy person wich in the begging sees a worthy opponent in Alita. She finds him a little bit to self-confident in the beginning but after a while both realize the love each other.
Fury
- The Faithful dog
This is one of Murdock's dog, the only on who survived the attack of Zapan's plasma attack. Fury is like all other cyborgs, a real brain and a cyber enhanced body.
After Murdock is killed he follows Koyomi on her path. Tragically fury sacrifices him self for the good cause like he's previous master in order to kill the A10 replica of Alita.
Gonzu
- Cyber veterinarian
This man is Daisukes most trusted friend and assistant. He also besides helping Ido in operations, he runs a noodle bar near Ido's workshop.
He is a simple and huble man ,he is also the man who operated Alita the first time (after ido find her of course).
One very noticeable thing about Gonzu is that he has a large metal plate screwed on his head. Gonzu is the man who attached Alita to her berserker body. To bad for Gonzu he is killed in Angel of redemption.
Hugo
- First Love?
Hugo, the dreamer and Alitas first love, a boy who never accept his life in the scrapyard and always fight a battle within himself.
Getting his ticket to "heaven" by steeling (in a quiet unhealthy way) and selling cyborgs bodyparts. Alita meets Hugo out of blue sky when shes waking up from a battle, a butterfly brings the messege of love. In his ordinary dayjob he works as close to tiphares as possible, always having his eyes dreaming towards the sky. An orphan that lost his parents to the evil in the scrapyard when he was just a kid like many others, had to stand on his own feet from the beginning of his time but he never touched the ground.
All the beuty in his life is depending on money, "the root of all evil".
Ido
- The Doc
The Father, saver and the bighearted man who finds an old body part in the scrapyard… …Alita is built with great love and affection. Ido finds that the girls got very special intrests from her former life, he finds himself with feelings of a father for the little girl and Alita adores him like a father too .The big problem is that he dearly hopes and wishes that Alita could live a more safe and peaceful life.Ido, a doctor in the day, but by night is out in the scrapyard jungle being a hunter-warrior.
He is a bit ashamed by the fact he likes the sound of splitting bone and hunting down criminals.
And of course his choice of weapon is the rocket hammer.
Jashugan
- The unrivalled champion
Jashugan is the number one player of the top league. He is a total death machine crushing all opponents. He is also Shumiras big brother.
Desty Nova reconstructed he's brain after a accident on the court. Thus making him almost invincible his nervous system much faster, by doing this he sometimes passes out and his brain must be shocked with Shumiras brain waves.
He challenges Alita in arm wrestling and almost loses! He also teams up with Ido, Ido desperate to get Alita back home. When Jashugan and Alita fight it's the first time she remembers her real name Yoko. She also sees a worthy opponent in him.
Jasmine
- The Fortune Teller
Jasmine is Kaos assistant; because he is almost blind jasmine helps him with driving and such tasks. She has also developed psychic skills but unlike Kaos psyconometri she a fortuneteller she is also secretly in love with Kaos, but she has never told him.
So when Kaos wants to marry Alita she becomes incredibly jealous of Alita. I think that Kaos knows of her feelings for him but sees her more like a dear friend and cares very much for her.
Kaos
- Blind Love
Desty Nova's son, which are both Den and Kaos or put it this way, Den is only a projection of Kaos darker side. When he was a child he could sometimes completely lose his temper and go completely berserk. Desty Nova discovered this and used him as one of his "karma experiments", attaching an "EPR transmitter on his body and making robotic slave unit, he released Den.
By doing this Kaos and Den evolved very differently Den by spreading Violence and destruction in his path and Kaos inducing hope and faith in the future with his own radio station. Kaos lost his voice and much of his sight in the dividing of his personality but instead he evolved his psych and acquired Psychometric skills he is also a competent sword fighter.
Kayna
- Enemy?
I have a kind of love / hate feeling for Kayna who Doc Ido takes as his "new" daughter after he have erased his own memory. Kayna takes care of Doc Ido since she knows what has happen and wants no one to remind Ido of his past life.
However Ido has left a video that tells what has happened and why he decided to erase his memories.
Koyomi
- The Rebel
The first time we encounters Koyomi is actually in the first book as the little baby, which gets kidnapped. She also appears in angel of redemption. But her major appearance is in angel of chaos as a pretty immature teenager.
She is a big fan of Kaos. She also joins Den on his crusade to shoot Tiphares to the ground. Although Den doesn't cares to much about Koyomi but he is not stupid. He uses her as a photographer to document him and his dream, after mr Buick is killed. In the end she matures and becomes a full fledged journalist.
Lam dao
- The Blacksmith
This man is who forges Alitas Damascus blade. Little is known about this man. But he is a friend of Eddy.
He own a shop called Blade house. The damascus blade that Alita get is forged by the two she uses in the beginning of angel of death episode but they gets ruined by Armblessed. With the blades ruined he melts both and mix them with special metal to make one super hard and sharp.
Lou
- Insecure operator
This woman is Alitas contact on Tiphares. Lou is given her job by the bureau in the beginnig she feels uncomfortable with Alita but after a while the develops to friendship. Luo gets more and more strong and she even saves her life, because of this she loses her job and is threatened to be casted out from Tiphares but Alita saves her. Later on she marries Kaos.
Makaku
- The Maggot
Makaku was a kid who was raised in the sewers of the Scrapyard, eating rats and waste. He was found by Desty Nova and given a body that let him take over other cyborg bodies. Using this method he succeeds stealing Kinuba the gladiator camps body. Making a serious threat to Alita as he starts to take out his revenge after being defeated in an early in the first book. He also kidnaps Koyomi to get Alita.
This is the first really dangerous opponent Alita meets. He also has a major role in the movie.
MR Buik
- Serial killer
Mr Buick is that maniac guy in glasses who illustrates Den's journey. He gets "recruited" by Barjack's troops. This man used to murder and photograph young women's severed corpses and sells the pictures.
He dreams of cutting Alita up in pieces, although knowing of how wrong this is he is disgusted by himself. Mr Buick interviews ant photographs many of Den's people and other renegades.
His ultimate experience in when he meets "Miss angel of death" as he calls Alita but what he does not know is that it's not Alita but a replica. After the replica kills him, Koyomi take on his role as reporter.
Murdock
- The Dog master
This man is a veteran hunter warrior, he hunts his prey using three cyborg dogs named: Valor, Glory, fury and Hubris he is well known to all other hunter warriors much like a living legend.
He is also Sara's father and he does not like that (what he think) Sara is throwing away her life serving losers soup all day. He appears when Zapan has murdered Sara and he is to bring him in. although he is getting a bit senile.
Pops
- The Kansas hangout
This man is also a kind of bystander. He own the bar Kansas where most hunter warrior hang out.
He has a daughter named Koyomi. Pops is a simple man who just wants everything to be as normal as possible. His first bar Kansas get trashed in the first book.
He rebuilds it and calls it New Kansas (very originally) unfortunately it also gets wasted this makes him incredibly frustrated and blames it all on Alita. Which makes her really sad. Little is known about Koyomis mother.
Sara
- Compassion and kindness
Sara is Zapans girlfriend she I all that Zapan isn't warm compassionate and caring. She works with serving soup to people with the help of Zapan.
She really believes in Zapan and hopes he will become a better person. Zapan is so disturbed so he sees Alita on a TV screen he freaks and unaware of where she is he decapitate her. She also has a father which is a hunter warrior.
Shumira
- The Darling
We get to know Shumira in "Killing Angel" since Ido rescues Shumira from being raped. Shumira is how shall I put It "Blonde!" hehe. I get the feeling that she trust almost anyone and is kind of stupid since she is living in the Scrap Yard.
Shumira is also the Motorball champion Jashugan's sister.
Umbra
- The Race Mechanic
Umba is the little fat mechanic who is helping eddy. He might look like a midget but he can do wonders, he knows all about racing and which joints to use and what kind of wheels you should use on different tracks.
He also uses an exoskeleton to speed up he's work in some situations. He also do all maintenance between all races.
Vector
- The businessman
Vector is the man who supervises the shipments of food and supplies to Tiphares although this man is very corrupt and profits for selling body parts. He is a ruthless man who takes advantage of weaker people. He engages Hugo in spinal theft and he sells the body parts to other people. He also has a major role in the movie.
He almost got killed by Hugo after he telled him the truth about Tiphares. But ok he's a bad guy you think but he gets nicer in the end helping Kaos bring peace to the Scrapyard
Yolg
- Im so scared
I don’t like this man at all he is really weak and does everything to not put him into trouble mostly because he is a family man but he is really spineless. His wife and kids lives on farm 22. The worst is that he put everybody else in jeopardy because his cowardice. He almost gets Alita and Figure killed.
Zaariki
- Galdiator
He is one of the gladiators. He is like all gladiators oversized and has weapon improvements on his body. Zaariki also is reining champion after Makaku killed Kinubas.
He has large chainsaws instead of hands. Vector has hired him as bodyguard but Alita kills him in tears of an angel. He also has a much bigger role in the movie.
Zafal
- The Crimson Wind
Zafal is a new comer in the second league of motor ball and with her incredible technique she has already won three matches in a row. Her fighting style is all about defence but with her speed and agility this makes her a feared opponent.
She challenges Alita in one of the races It's an even match but of Alita finally gets her. She is one of the races who takes on the challenge Jashugan in Alitas team.
Zapan
- The Forgotten
The name Zapan is originally from one the devils daemons like Astharoth. Zapan was the unofficial leader of the hunter warriors roam at the Kansas.
Alita despises his lack of courage and there for Zapan retaliates but gets his ass kicked by Alita. Zapan envy Alitas strength and integrity. He is a weak person who must be adored by other to maintain his self-confidence.
After that incident Zapan is always after to get Alita. Later on in a moment of terror he kills his girlfriend Sara which causes him to become a bounty. Sara's father and Alita hunts him down and kills him unfortunately Desty Nova gets his hands on the remains of Zapans brain and Alitas berserker body and fuses them together making Alita face her most deadly enemy ever.
