Story:
Ross you could say was an average sort of cop, but as he got on mars he found the rules were a little different. Shortly after getting off his flight from Earth, he finds himself getting smacked in the face by a Mars Police officer in an outfit that could make an 80 year old man cancel his Viagra prescription. It also happens that the last country star was killed on the very flight he was just on... and she also happens to be a third. Ross and the officer known as Armitage, decide to team up in the investigation.. Soon they are hot on the trail of the killer... D'ancaude. But along the way, Ross finds out that Armitage is also a third, and she is determined to stop D'ancaude's systematic killing of those like herself.
Thanks to Armitage, D'ancaude is sucking on tubes in a coma in the hospital. But for some reason the murders continue. Armitage is at large, and becomes suspect. Luckily, Ross happens to find her. Together, they trace their way back to an odd sort of third, a boy, who knows all the thirds. But the legacy of D'ancaude is still haunting them, and the two police officers are in for quite a surprise.
With all the commotion caused by the murders of the thirds, it seemed rather odd that the investigation should suddenly be halted. But a new string of bombings takes the heat off of the old case... for most of the department. Ross however, is determined to figure out the answers behind the murder of the thirds. He is in fact, a bit closer to the heart of the matter than he realizes. Everything seems to point at one place... Shinora General Hospital. Obviously something is up in there... with heightened security, and the annoying reappearing D'anclaude popping up everywhere. While storming the hospital, Ross and Armitage find the worst D'anclaude yet.... one that looks like a person stuck in a toaster and grafted to a battle tank. But the real answers lay elsewhere... with Asakura.
Ross and Armitage are now considered fugitives... suspects in the recent string of bombings. It's obvious that the scope of the killing of thirds is a bit larger and harder to comprehend than they could have originally imagined. With that they leave for the dome on top of Dannich Hill... where Asakura resides. Unfortunately, he is a bit... different than they thought, absent minded and without a recollection of Armitage. Armitage is deep in despair with no one but Ross to comfort her.... But the answers are there... if they aren't destroyed by the mechanized army which is approaching the dome to raze it.
